HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY PHOENIX!
My youngest babe turned ONE on 2 October and to celebrate we had a birthday bash for him at home. Before the celebrations begun, I had talked to Ashton about the idea of getting Phoenix's first haircut. I figured it would add to the special day that we had planned and it did just that! I was so proud of myself for holding in the tears, and my gosh he looked sooo cute!! We headed on home where the afternoon was spent being surrounded by family and friends and a special appearance from Marshall off Paw Patrol, it truly was a memorable day!
I must admit I do love abit of party planning, however at the time it always seems to creep up on me and I am usually left running around like a crazy women trying to get all the last minute deco's and bits and pieces sorted and ever so slightly wondering why the heck I do this to myself! It's not until I see all the guests and especially the children having so much fun, that I remind myself why I love to do it. I LOVE abit of DIY also, so most of the time, I make alot of the decorations myself with some inspiration from good ol' Pinterest. For Phoenix's party, I decided on a Woodland-ish theme with a touch of Monochrome and greenery from our garden. We have a beautiful NZ Fern growing in our entertainment area, which added so a nice touch to the milk bottles, along with scattered fern confetti on the cake table.
Cake: Petit Fours (Ivy Leaf Garland and Bear, supplied made by myself)
Phoenix's Haircut: Lads Barbershop
Marshall: Kachow Party Entertainment
